A stranger feels compassion for the suffering of another.
This other is sensitive, brilliant, desperate, isolated, possibly dangerous, profoundly loved, and terribly, terribly trapped. A kindred spirit of sorts.
The words of this other collide with a stranger, leaving unexpected ripples. They are worlds apart in time, and in space, and in destiny, but there exists a perception of alignment in spirit.
They are both far too self aware to keep falling into the same patterns, yet they persist. The pit of their present was formed through the relentless erosion of their past. Without judgment, a stranger idly wonders when the foundations of this other began to falter.
A stranger lifts their gaze in a sign of recognition and support, and wishes for this other to find health, safety, freedom, and peace.
