Feeling inspired by smol.pub and the indieweb

A few brief thoughts as I wind down the weekend.

Today I felt happy in a way that I haven't felt in a long time. Reflecting on that feeling, I attribute it to spending time on the indieweb, which has motivated me to learn, to create, and to connect with others.

This has been SO much more rewarding than being a "content consumer" on a big tech platform, and I feel that this is something that has been missing from my life for far too long.

To my fellow smol.pub writers

I'd like you to know that I read every post on the smol.pub feed, and I appreciate the unique perspectives of everyone in this community.

To anyone out there who is still finding their voice or feels that they have nothing to say: don't give up! Your words are meaningful all the same, and you may be surprised at the impact that your writing could have on someone who is the right frame of mind to receive it.

One of my personal goals is to be better at reaching out to those who have made an impact on me through their writing. Outreach is how connections are made and communities are formed. It's a hard habit to get into, and is a personal failing that I struggle with at times, yet I remain determined to improve!

With gratitude,

~nullish
